What to Expect

We gather for Sunday worship at 10:00am. At this time, we ask that everyone bring a mask or face covering and wear it when we are singing as a congregation and when we are up and moving around before and after worship talking with one another and enjoying fellowship time.

On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. As a United Methodist congregation we believe that "Christ our Lord invites to his table [to receive Holy Commuion] all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another." In other words, we welcome all Christians to share in Holy Communion with us.

Our basic pattern of worship is

  • Gathering as the people of God with sharing of what joys and concerns we bring to worship, lifting up those prayer requests and singing an opening hymn from The United Methodist Hymnal or The Faith We Sing
  • Hearing the Word of God proclaimed through a scripture lesson and a sermon. Most often we follow the Revised Common Lectionary.
  • Responding to the Word of God through a responsive hymn, praying the prayers of the people, offering, sharing in Holy Communion, and other special events
  • Going forth in God's mission and grace through a closing hymn and receiving a benediction and blessing
